Make the COTA and RPAC fees optional

If you travel abroad for a semester you still have to pay these fees.  It doesn’t make sense to pay for something you don’t use.  Even if you, the student, are not traveling abroad you should still have a choice as to whether or not you want to pay for these things.

 

A more Transparent Student Government

Every candidate will tell you that they want a transparent USG but they never tell you how they will accomplish this. Mr. Warnecke will keep and maintain a video blog that will keep you the student informed on the dealing within the student government.

 

Establish free printing in all OSU libraries

Students shall be given 200 free pages of printed material per academic year.

 

Improved Parking

Parking on campus can be frustrating. Andrew and Logan will work with CampusParc to make sure that parking spaces for staff and students are more evenly distributed.

 

Establishing a need based scholarship that is sponsored by USG

Andrew and Logan will allocate funds from the USG budget to give to a student in need.

 

Create a liaison to work with our friends in the statehouse

Mr. Warnecke will create a liaison to work with our elected officials in the statehouse. It’s important that our officials hear our concerns so they can hopefully make changes accordingly and perhaps appropriate funds that will benefit students.

 

Affordability

Andrew and Logan will work closely with the financial aid office to help secure more need based grants and scholarships and to make tuition prices not rise.

 

Fix Computers in Thompson Library

Some computers in the library have been broken for months. The Warnecke Administration will work with library to ensure that these computers can be fixed.

 

Make Professors list a sample syllabis during scheduling

This would make scheduling easier for students and decrease the likelihood of students dropping a class

 

Work with Fraternities and Sororities

The Warnecke administration will work with the leadership of each fraternity and sorority to make sure that their voice is heard in the Student Government.

 

Improve Safety in the Thompson Library

Lately there have been some issues with safety in the library. The Warnecke Administration will fight for increased security at the library so no other incidents occur.

 

More Representation for the Regional Campuses

The regional campuses need more of a voice in USG. The Warnecke Administration will fight for equal representation for the regional campuses.

 

Increase the number of Recycling Receptacles on Campus

Andrew and Logan will fight to increase the number of recycling receptacles on the oval and the rest of campus to ensure a clean Ohio State.

 

Improve off Campus Safety

The Warnecke Administration will work with the Columbus Police Department to help keep the off campus areas safe for all students.
